Double wall lid boxes are a tray and lid where every side folds back over itself, so each wall is two layers thick. The raw edge of the board tucks inside, and the box looks finished from every angle. They suit apparel, gift sets, chocolates, and bakery items, and with us, they come with a free design and no die fees.

Not Double Wall Corrugated

Double-wall corrugated is a heavy shipping board with two layers of fluting, used for export cartons. In a double wall lid box, the second layer comes from the fold. For heavy shipping cartons, see our corrugated packaging.

Lid Depth

We use a full-depth lid for apparel and gift sets, since it covers the whole tray and looks solid when closed. Chocolates and cakes that are opened right away can use a shallow lid, which is easier to lift and uses less board.

Board and Print

Paperboard from 16pt to 24pt covers most of these boxes. Kraft gives a natural look, and E flute corrugated is worth it if the box also goes by courier. For the most premium version, we make the tray and lid in rigid board. Print covers the outside of the lid and tray and the inside of the tray, in soy vegetable ink. Gold foil on a matte lid is a popular finish.

Checking the Fit

Double walls make the tray a little bigger on the outside, and the lid has to allow for it. It's the one place this style can go wrong. Put the product in a sample and take the lid on and off a few times before approving.

Turnaround and Delivery

Most orders ship within 7 to 10 days. They arrive flat and fold by hand without glue, and delivery is free across the UAE. Stacked ten high on a shelf, the doubled walls keep them square, which single-wall trays often don't.
